Moldovan speaker visits Hincesti district

Chisinau, May 2 /MOLDPRES/ - Speaker Igor Grosu has visited Hincesti district. He visited several projects implemented with the financial support of the state, as well as a business that benefited from grants, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
The official went to the recently renovated section of road connecting 11 villages in Hincesti district. The renovation work cost 50 million lei, money allocated from the state budget. This gives more than 20 thousand inhabitants of the region access to a quality and safe road. Moreover, in the coming period, the renovation of a 20-kilometre stretch of road linking the villages of Sofia and Voinescu is also planned. "In the last 2 years alone we have managed to build and rehabilitate over 530 km of national, regional and local roads. Step by step we are building European roads, we are building a European Moldova", he said.
He also visited Carpineni. Grosu visited a family who, after 16 years of working abroad, returned to the country and built a successful business. For almost eight years, they have been producing pasta made from organic ingredients according to an Italian recipe. To build their business, the entrepreneurs received a grant of 200,000 lei under PARE 1+1 programme.
Also, he visited the House of Culture, renovated under European Village Programme.
In Hincesti, the official discussed with mayors and representatives of local public authorities the projects of development and modernisation of localities. "We must all work together to build a European Moldova, and we have a first exercise this autumn, when we will take an important decision for the present and future of the country in the referendum," said Grosu.
In the localities of the Hincesti district, 15 projects worth over 104 million have been carried out through the European Village project and another 15 through the Express European Village.
