President conveyed congratulatory message to Gagauz people on Hederlez holiday

Chisinau, May 6 /MOLDPRES/- On Hederlez, one of the most important national holidays for Moldova's ethnic Gagauz citizens, President Maia Sandu sent congratulations , the presidential press service has reported.

On this day, people celebrate the revival of nature, beginning of work in the fields and fruitfulness of the year. The head of state noted that the value of Hederlez lies in the continuation of beautiful traditions and their transmission to the coming generations, and that it is everyone's duty to preserve the identity of the nation, language and customs.

"Dear Gagauz, I congratulate you on Hederlez! May you have peace, health and well-being. I am confident that together we will build a future in which there is respect for our traditions and support for our common good," Maia Sandu concluded.
