DOC European Village program for 2024-2028 published in Official Journal of Moldova

Chisinau, May 8 /MOLDPRES/ - European Village program for 2024-2028 was published in the Official Journal today. The project stipulates that by 2028, about 200 thousand inhabitants of our country will have access to the water supply network and 37 thousand people will be connected to the sewage network. In addition, 250 thousand people in 100 localities will benefit from improved street lighting.

The implementation costs are estimated at over 5.3 billion lei, of which the state budget, through the National Fund for Regional and Local Development will provide over 2.5 billion lei.

The program also aims to renovate or rehabilitate public buildings in at least 250 localities over four years, provide modern sports halls and fields for 375 thousand inhabitants and improve the infrastructure of cultural and tourist buildings for 250 thousand inhabitants. The share of renewable energy in total energy consumption will also be increased in at least 65 localities.

The government decision on approving European Village program for 2024-2028 will enter into force within one month from the date of publication in the Official Journal of the Republic of Moldova.
