Chisinau, May 8 /MOLDPRES/ - Environment Agency has allowed fishery for Danube scabbard fish on 11 May - 9 June. An order of the institution in this regard was published in the Official Journal today.
According to the agency's order, during the ban period, which will last until mid-June this year, sport, amateur and recreational fishery for Danube scabbardfish is allowed in the Dniester River.
Failure to comply with the order entails liability under the law.
The purpose of the order is to regulate the fishery for Danube scabbard fish (Alosa immaculata) during the migration period and maintain the reproductive potential and the stock of this species at an optimal level.
