Infrastructure of managing solid waste in Moldova's northern districts to be modernized with support of top European bank

Chisinau, 30 May /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova will receive a grant worth 5.4 million euros for the development of the infrastructure in the social waste management sector. The parliament today ratified a grant provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The grant of 5.4 million euros will be used for the implementation of the project titled, Solid Waste in Moldova. Also, in the beginning of this year, another agreement on loan was signed with EBRD, which envisages the providing of a loan worth 25 million euros. The loan’s repayment period is of up to 15 years, with a grace period of four years.
The Solid Waste in Moldova project will be implemented till 2027.
