Moldovan judoka qualifies for Paris Olympic Games

Chisinau, 3 June /MOLDPRES/ - Judoka Mihail Latisev has qualified for the Paris Olympic Games. The sportsman ensured his participation in the Summer Olympic Games after had asserted himself at the World Cup, held in Marrakech city, Morocco.
At the final of the weight category of 81 kg, Latisev defeated Moroccan judoka Achraf Moutii and till the last act, he defeated another favourite of the host country, Adam Jabrane, and Kwok Wing Lee from Hong Kong.
Following this success, Mihail Latisev consolidated his position in the world hierarchy and this ensured his presence at the Paris Olympic Games.
Besides Latisev, another three Moldova judokas got quotas of qualification for the Summer Olympics. It is about Denis Vieru (66 kg) and Adil Osmanov and Petru Pelivan (both at the weight category of up to 73 kg).
Subsequently, the Moldovan Judo Federation will decide on who of these sportspeople will represent the country in Paris.
