Growing flow of passengers at border: over 60,000 people cross Moldova's border on 14 June

Chisinau, 15 June /MOLDPRES/ - The flow of people at border increased at the end of this week. Border policemen recorded 61,359 crossings on 14 June. Most crossings are registered in the direction of exit from Moldova – 32,228, according to the data by the General Inspectorate of Border Police. The crossing points at the border with Romania stayed the most demanded ones.         

According to the Border Police, the most transited border crossing points (PTF) were:

PTF Chisinau International Airport – 14,580 crossings of people;

PTF Leuseni – 10,534 crossings of people;

PTF Sculeni – 7,355 crossings of people;

PTF Cahul – 5,411 crossings of people;

PTF Otaci – 4,491 crossings of people;

PTF Giurgiulesti-Galati – 4,175 crossings of people.

Joint PTF Palanca – 3,791 crossings of people;

The Border Police inform that, on 14 June, 15,674 Ukrainian citizens had crossed the border, of which 7,924 entered Moldova. At the same time, 3,454 of the Ukrainian citizens were minors.    

In the last 24 hours, 14 foreign citizens were denied entrance into Moldova.  

It is worth mentioning that, in the beginning of this week, on last Monday, the flow of passengers stood at 52,499, with a larger number of travelers recorded in the direction of entrance into Moldova - 27,604 crossings of people.  

Border policemen recommend that the citizens, before setting out, consult the Green Line of the Border Police (022259717) or verify online the situation at the border checkpoints (http://border.gov.md/camere-web).
