Moldovan PM has farewell meeting with deputy head of U.S. Embassy's mission

Chisinau, 28 June /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has had a farewell meeting with the deputy head of the mission of the United States Embassy in Moldova, Laura Hruby. Also, a diplomat due to succeed the latter in this office – Daniela DiPierro – was introduced at the meeting.       

The PM thanked the official for the professional and personal involvement in the improvement of the Moldovan-American cooperation and for the contribution to the maintaining of close friendship relations between the two states. ‘’We appreciate the political support, the financial assistance, as well as the expertise one, which helps us carry out reforms in justice, business environment, of strengthening the institutional capacities, as well as social projects with direct impact on the country’s residents,’’ Dorin Recean said.    

The interlocutors stressed the importance of continuing the projects on development backed by the USA, both for the country’s modernization, improvement of the citizens’ living and for the quick carrying out of the government’s agenda of reforms.   

For her part, Laura Hruby congratulated the Moldovan authorities on the official launch of the negotiations on accession to the European Union, noting that the USA would stay an involved partner, in order to help on this path.  The American diplomat emphasized the willingness to find additional resources, in order to support the enhancement of the cyber security, the energy one and the consolidation of the capacities of strategic communication with Moldova, in the context of the Russian aggression in Ukraine and the volatile regional situation.
