CNA officers raided North Customs

Chisinau, July 3 /MOLDPRES/- North Customs Office head, as well as six other customs employees, including heads of customs posts within the North Customs have been detained.

According to the CNA, they are being investigated in a criminal case on suspicion of passive bribery.

According to the evidence administered by the CNA, the suspects were found to have organized a criminal scheme, through which they allegedly demanded and received money from individuals and legal entities to speed up customs procedures.

Today, 21 searches were carried out at the homes, offices and cars of customs employees of North Customs involved in the criminal scheme. Investigations on the case are ongoing under the procedural direction of Chisinau prosecutors.
