Chisinau, July 4 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean has cleared up several fake reports in the public space. The official assured that the government will continue to index pensions, to subsidize milk producers, and that citizens will continue to benefit from compensated medicines, the list of which has been extended lately.
"I hear more and more lies that the government will no longer index pensions, and this is a fake. The indexation of pensions is in the law, we will continue to index, on the contrary, we will increase pensions whenever we have the opportunity. We have increased twice the minimum pension (from 1,143 to 2,778 lei) and the average pension (from 2,067 to 3,926 lei) and we will continue to do the increase," he said on a TV show.
According to the official, another fake is that subsidies per liter of milk will be stopped. The PM said "the government subsidizes and will continue to offer subsidies per liter of milk".
At the same time, he said "speculations regarding compensated medicines must stop". "The list of compensated medicines has increased by 40% and it is important that people know this. We encourage citizens to go to their family doctors and find out which medicines are offered free of charge or much cheaper by the state," he concluded.
