Parliament voted: Visas no longer mandatory for Moldovans with diplomatic or service passports traveling to India

Chisinau, July 4 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan citizens holding diplomatic and service passports will be able to travel to India without visas. The Parliament ratified today an agreement with the Government of the Republic of India on the abolition of visa regime. The document was voted in both readings.
Thus, holders of diplomatic and service passports will be able to travel or transit India without visas for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Indian citizens holding diplomatic and service passports who wish to travel to the Republic of Moldova will benefit from the same facilities.
The Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the Republic of India on the abolition of the visa regime for holders of diplomatic and service passports was signed in New Delhi on May 10, 2024 and is to be concluded for an indefinite period.
