Property assessment process to be more transparent, efficient

Chisinau, July 8 /MOLDPRES/- Government is improving the transparency and efficiency of the real estate evaluation. A draft, aimed at aligning with international and European standards and optimizing assessment for taxation purposes was approved today by the cabinet, the government's communication department has reported.

At the same time, the amendments provide for the creation of a mechanism for contesting and examining complaints related to the estimated value of real estate.

The automated information system Price Register will be created, which will contain relevant information on real estate transactions.

The amendments will contribute to the modernization of real estate valuation activity and ensure transparency in valuation activity for local and central public authorities, private people and legal entities.
