Deputy Prime Minister, IMF delegation approach economic reform agenda

Chisinau, July 10 /MOLDPRES/- Reform agenda of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, which is meant to boost the country's economic development was discussed by Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba and International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation led by Mark Horton, Deputy Director of the IMF's European Department.
"We need a strong industry in order to have a strong economy. Through the National Industrial Development Program 2024-2028, we have set concrete targets. At the same time, we are working hard to attract as many foreign investors as possible," said Alaiba.
The officials also discussed the National Program for Investment Attraction and Export Promotion, a very important document in the investment.
"The IMF is a strategic partner, which supports our country in efforts to build a truly European economy", Alaiba said.
This week, Chisinau becomes the international financial center. About 100 representatives of central banks and finance ministries of the member countries of the International Monetary Fund Constituency and the World Bank will meet in Chisinau on July 10-12, 2024.
