Entrance exam schedule to USMF "Nicolae Testemitanu" modified

Chisinau, July 15 /MOLDPRES/- Entrance examination schedule to all public and private higher education institutions in Moldova has been modified, given the 22-31 July issuing of baccalaureate diplomas to graduates (additional session). Thus, the online application forms will take place on 22-31 July.
According to the press service of the USMF "Nicolae Testemitanu", the online application will be available on eadmitere.gov.md platform, and the intermediary results will be announced on 2 August.
The original documents will be submitted between 3-6 August, and the final results will be announced on 9 August.
In case there will be unfilled places in some specialties, an additional admission session will be organized: online application: 10-14 August; intermediary results: 16 August; original documents: 16-19 August; final results: 20 August.
This year, USMF "Nicolae Testemițanu" is offering 1,100 places for undergraduate and integrated studies. 500 are budget-funded and 600 are fee-paying places. Traditionally, 25 budget-funded places are available for candidates from the eastern districts of the country.
Applicants may register for the competition at the same time at three higher education institutions, with a maximum of three study programs at each, but the candidate will be enrolled in only one study program at one institution. The criteria are unique for admission to budget-funded and tuition fee places. The contest will be held in two stages - intermediate, on the basis of copies, and final - original documents.
85 percent of the total number of places will be offered to holders of baccalaureate diplomas, 15 percent to young people with vocational diplomas. Out of the total number of budget-funded places, 15% are available for 9 separate categories of applicants (children without parental care, severely disabled, from families with three or more children up to the age of 20).
Candidates who have achieved performance at international or republican olympiads, with I-III degree awards are admitted out of the contest, within the limits of the Admission Plan, provided that they opt for the specialty corresponding to the subject in which they were awarded. In the case of USMF "Nicolae Testemițanu", those candidates who have won prizes at national olympiads or competitions in biology and chemistry will be admitted to any study program, while those who have won prizes in physics will be admitted to the Optometry or Radiology and Imaging Technology programs.
