CEC approved program of presidential elections, referendum

Chisinau, July 16 /MOLDPRES/- Central Electoral Commission /CEC/ approved today the program for organization and conduct of the presidential elections and the republican constitutional referendum on October 20.

The document will be sent to the political parties, central and local public authorities and electoral bodies.

In accordance with the provisions of the calendar program, the electoral period for the presidential elections and the constitutional republican referendum will begin on 1 August 2024.

The CEC reiterates that the period for the nomination and collection of signatures of supporters of candidates for the election of the President of the Republic of Moldova, as well as the submission of documents for registration as a participant in the referendum, will start from August 21. The electoral campaign for the presidential elections and the constitutional republican referendum will start from September 20, 2024.
