CEC decided to organize new local elections in two localities in country

Chisinau, July 16 /MOLDPRES/- On November 17, new local elections will be held for the mayoral post in Boșcana village, Criuleni district. The decision was approved today by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).

The decision was taken following a complaint by the National Integrity Authority informing the CEC about the final finding that the mayor of the locality was disqualified from holding public office or public dignity, including the office of mayor, for a period of 3 years.

The Commission also set new local elections for the office of mayor in the village of Arionesti, Dondușeni district. The vacancy of the mandate followed the death of the mayor.

On November 17, new local mayoral elections will be held in Causeni and the commune of Iliciovca, Floresti district.
