Morning raids take place at Leuseni customs checkpoint of Moldova

Chisinau, 18 July /MOLDPRES/ - Officers of the National Anticorruption Centre (CNA) today morning made raids at more employees of the Leuseni customs checkpoint (border with Romania). The spokeswoman for CNA, Angela Starinschi, has confirmed the information for MOLDPRES.

„We undertake criminal prosecution actions at the Leuseni customs checkpoint in a file on corruption. More customs employees are concerned, who are suspected of claiming and acceptance of illicit remunerations. The operation started today early in the morning and is held at the job offices, as well as the homes of the suspects,’’ Starinschi said.

The spokeswoman noted that the CNA officers’ actions had not disturbed the work of the customs post.
