Moldovan PM congratulates Ursula von der Leyen on reelection as European Commission's president

Chisinau, 18 July /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has conveyed a message following the reelection of Ursula von der Leyen as president of the European Commission.

„I convey you warm congratulations on your reelection as president of the European Commission – a strong signal of confidence in your capacity of leadership. We deeply appreciate your firm support for Moldova’s way to EU and we are looking forward to continue our close cooperation,’’ PM Dorin Recean said.

The European Parliament today voted for the proposal for Ursula von der Leyen to be president of the European Commission for another mandate of five years.

The official got 401 votes, following a secret vote procedure.
