About 50 million lei from national social insurances budget allocated for beneficiaries of Moldova's Transnistrian region

Chisinau, 22 July /MOLDPRES/ - About 50 million lei from the national social insurances budget was allocated for the beneficiaries from the Transnistrian region in the first half of the 2024 year.
According to the Reintegration Policies Bureau, about 50 million lei as social benefits – pensions, allocations, allowances – was paid for the residents of the country’s eastern districts and the Bender municipality.
Thus, 2, 457 people with residence in the Transnistrian region benefited from such categories of payments, of whom 715 beneficiaries of monthly childcare allowances, 658 beneficiaries of old age pensions, 488 beneficiaries of allowances for temporary incapacity for work, 231 beneficiaries of monthly state allocations, 118 beneficiaries of one-off childbirth allowances, etc.
In 2023, over 182 million lei was paid from budgetary resources for residents from Moldova’s eastern districts for spending of health insurance and social assistance.
