Moldovan parliament speaker wishes success to national Olympic team at Paris Olympic Games

Chisinau, 25 July /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has wished success to the National Olympic Team, which will participate in the Paris Olympic Games. The Olympic team is made up of 26 sportspeople, who will compete at ten events.   

In the beginning of the parliament meeting, Speaker Igor Grosu said that Moldova was proud of those 26 Olympic contenders, who will represent the country at the Olympic Games, due to start in Paris, France, on 26 July.   

„A small country like Moldova has 26 champions. This is the merit of the sportspeople, coaches, physicians, all those who are behind this not at all easy work. You should know, dear sportspeople, that the entire country is with you and supports you! We wish you success and thank you that people speak about Moldova all over the world. Come on, Moldova!,’’ Igor Grosu said.  

The 33rd edition of the Summer Olympic Games will take place in Paris on 26 July – 11 August 2024. As many as 10,500 sportsmen will participate in the Olympics in 32 events in all. The parity between sportsmen and sportswomen will be achieved at the event for the first time ever.
