Moldova's victims of political repressions from 1917-1990 to benefit from increase in allocations of 250 lei

Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ - The rehabilitated victims of the political repressions from 1917-1990 will receive higher allocations starting from 1 January 2025. The cabinet today gave a positive notification to a 25-per cent increase of the monthly allocations, the government’s communication has reported.

Thus, the sum allocated will grow from 1,000 to 1,250 lei. The initiative is aimed at enhancing the social protection for the victims of the political repressions, providing extra resources for needs, as well as for the medical care and social services necessary.

About 18.4 million lei will be earmarked from the state budget for 6,073 people benefiting from state assistance for the draft’s enforcement in 2025. The draft approved by the cabinet is to be submitted to parliament for approval.
