Voters can declare new place of residence

Chisinau, Aug 2 /MOLDPRES/- Citizens entitled to vote who changed their place of residence after their last participation in the elections have the right to declare their new residence to the local public administration body in order to be registered in the electoral list at the corresponding polling station.

According to the Central Electoral Commission, through this procedure, the voter will be entered in the basic electoral list, corresponding to the place of residence, with the mention "Declaration of residence" under the heading "Note".

When submitting the declaration, the voter must present his/her identity card for confirmation.

The deadline for filing declarations is no later than 25 days before Election Day, which is September 25, 2024, inclusively.

The declaration submitted is valid for one election only. Declarations filed for previous elections are not valid.

The presidential election and the republican constitutional referendum will be held on October 20, 2024.
