GOVERNMENT BUILDS: Construction of multifunctional sports complex in Edineţ underway

Chisinau, Aug. 6 /MOLDPRES/- The construction of a multifunctional sports complex is progressing in Edineț. The project provides for the construction/installation of a swimming pool, a children's swimming pool, a multi-purpose sports hall, 500 m of aqueduct, 200 m of sewage, 170 m of gas pipeline, electricity networks on an area of ​​240 m2 and a 100kW photovoltaic system.

The works in Edineț started this April, under the project Creation of the multifunctional sports complex in the municipality of Edineț, financed by the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL) and implemented by the Regional Development Agency (ADR) North.

"This project will contribute to the improvement of the regional infrastructure for the development of sports and the enhancement of the sports heritage, by organizing various sports activities to promote the image of the Northern Development Region as a favorable region for the practice and development of sports as a healthy way of life", explains the Agency of Regional Development (ADR) North.

The total value of the project is about 33 million lei (1.65 million euros), of which more than 27 million lei - from the sources of the FNDRL and 5.5 million lei - Edineț city hall contribution.

This year, from the sources of FNDRL, ADR Nord is implementing seven new urban development and revitalization projects in the north of the country.
