GOVERNMENT BUILDS: Singerei city to have modern sewage treatment plant supported by Environment Fund

Chisinau, Aug 14 /MOLDPRES/- Sângerei city will benefit from a modern sewage treatment plant, after the construction project, started in 2014 will be resumed and finalized with the support of the Environment Fund. Environment Minister Sergiu Lazarencu made the statement during yesterday's working visit to Sângerei district.

The new sewage treatment plant will ensure a functional and efficient system of wastewater management, thus contributing to environmental protection and improvement of living conditions of residents.

This is one of the most important infrastructure projects in the district, essential for ensuring a functioning sewage system that will serve both the city of Sângerei and the neighboring localities, explains the Ministry of Environment.

"The finalization of this project is a significant step in the sustainable development of Sângerei and reflects the continued commitment to environmental protection and improvement of local infrastructure aligned with European standards," Sergiu Lazarencu said.

"Access to safe sources of quality drinking water is one of the most important environmental objectives at the national level, because quality drinking water means the health of citizens", he said.
