Moldovan, U.S. officials approach cybersecurity and hybrid threats

Chișinău, August 16 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi met today with Nathaniel Fick, U.S. Ambassador at Large for Cyberspace and Digital Policy. The discussion focused on strengthening our country’s resilience to cyber threats and the efforts to ensure necessary measures for enhancing security in the area.

Popșoi expressed appreciation for the United States’ assistance in increasing institutional capacities to respond to cyber threats and risks. He also emphasized the constant and sustained dialogue existing between the USA and the Republic of Moldova.

The officials noted the importance of an appropriate legal framework in cybersecurity, considering the need to combat emerging hybrid threats, and committed to enhancing the collaboration of both governments to achieve this.
