Presidential candidates, participants in referendum to be registered with CEC starting from 21 August

Chişinău, August 16 /MOLDPRES/- Central Electoral Commission (CEC) announces the location and period for registering candidates for the position of President of the Republic of Moldova, initiative groups, and participants in the constitutional referendum scheduled for October 20.

The registration period will start on August 21 and will proceed according to the schedule set by the CEC.

The reception of documents for registering presidential candidates will take place from August 21 to September 20, 2024, at the headquarters of the Central Electoral Commission.

On October 20, elections for the presidency and a constitutional referendum on Moldova's accession to the European Union will take place.

In the referendum, eligible voters will answer the question: “Do you agree amending the Constitution for  Moldova’s accession to the European Union?”
