Moldovan Prime Minister attends See You at Home festival

Chisinau, Aug 18 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean participated in See You at Home festival, which highlighted the importance of cooperation between citizens living abroad and those at home in order to build a prosperous future in Moldova, the government's communication department has reported.

About 600 participants in the festival, a record number had the opportunity to visit information stands with details about the programs and opportunities available for Moldovans settled abroad, including access to digital services. At the same time, the fair of local craftsmen and producers gave visitors the opportunity to discover and purchase authentic products made by Moldovan artisans and producers.

Recean emphasized the essential role of the diaspora in achieving the common goal of integration into the European Union: "Our mission is to build together the European Moldova", he said.

He also noted the achievements and contribution of citizens from abroad to Moldova's development: "Thank you very much for being our connection all over the world. Thank you for helping our country wherever you are," he said.

The festival is organized by the Diaspora Relations Office under the patronage of the government of the Republic of Moldova, in partnership with the German Agency for International Cooperation, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the United Nations Development Programme and the International Organization for Migration.
