Moldovan Prime Minister attends Diaspora Business Forum 2024

Chisinau, Aug 18 /MOLDPRES/- Business development opportunities in the Republic of Moldova and investment prospects in the local economy were discussed at Diaspora Business Forum 2024, which brought together citizens settled abroad with entrepreneurs and professionals from our country, the government's communication department has reported.
Present at the event, Prime Minister Dorin Recean invited businessmen to come back home and spoke about the mutually beneficial relationship between the business environment and the state, which brings numerous benefits and contributes to the country's economic and social development.
According to the premier, the government is creating the necessary conditions to bring new investments and to support those who decide to launch businesses in the Republic of Moldova. The simplification and digitalization of processes, the de-bureaucratization of the business environment and the distribution of grants for various initiatives continue. Also, participatory financing has been operationalized, and on the investment dimension, the Government has launched the platform for the direct sale of State Securities.
"At the request of diaspora citizens, we have also expanded the possibilities of Moldova IT Park and we will do it whenever it is needed to showcase the potential of our people. At the same time, we will soon be part of the SEPA payment system which will facilitate trade and lower transaction costs," said Recean.
He emphasized that another key objective is to anchor the Republic of Moldova in the great European family - a free and developed world, oriented towards business and citizens: "All we have to do is to remain active and responsible wherever we are. Only by participating in democratic processes and using our common development potential will we ensure peace and prosperity and build European Moldova".
Diaspora Business Forum is part of the series of events organized within the Diaspora Days. This year's edition includes panel discussions and B2B meetings in physical and online format, to create new partnerships with business representatives from the diaspora and the country.
