Moldovan PM conveys message on Independence Day

Chisinau, 28 August /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu  on 27 August laid flowers at the Grieving Mother monument from the Eternity memorial complex and the monument to Stephen the Great, on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the Independence Day, the government’s communication department has reported.    

„Today, we celebrate the courage, firmness and sacrifice of those who made this country to be independent at that time, in the beginning. Our task is to work disciplined, to edify its European future and this means to edify well-being here, in Moldova. The today’s holiday is a good occasion to be united everybody as nation and move forward resolutely towards a European future,’’ the prime minister said.     

PM Dorin Recean showed confidence that, through everybody’s mobilization, the challenges faced by Moldova can be overcome. ‘’No matter how much we are provoked from outside, but especially from inside, we should preserve the unity and resoluteness to edify our life here, at home,’’ the prime minister stressed.  

The officials were accompanied by the cabinet members, MPs, lawmakers of the first parliament, heads of the central and local public institutions, as well as citizens.  

The festive events dedicated to Moldova’s Independence Day this year comprise three shows on 26, 27 and 28 August, through which the peace and unity of the entire country are celebrated.
