Purchasing price of natural gas increases in Moldova in September

Chisinau, 2 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovagaz stock company today informed that, in September 2024, the purchasing price of the gas would be 39.4 euros/MWh, being equivalent to 419.25 euros/1,000 cubic metres or 8, 068.72 Moldovan lei 1,000 m3 (without value added tax), proceeding from the calorific power forecast of 10.64 kWh for one cubic metre and the concerned exchange rate.

The price was announced after the Energocom company had won the tender for the delivery of gas for this month, initiated by Moldovagaz on the electronic platform of trading, managed by BRM East Energy.

„In accordance with the contractual conditions of sale and purchasing of natural gas between the Energocom stock company and Moldovagaz stock company, in September 2024, the purchasing price will be 39.4 euros/MWh, being equivalent to 419.25 euros/1,000 cubic metres or 8, 068.72 Moldovan lei 1,000 m3 (without VAT), proceeding from the calorific power forecast of 10.64 kWh for one cubic metre and the concerned exchange rate.’’ Moldovagaz said.

The price for the procurement of natural gas from Energocom in August was of 347.18 euros for 1,000 cubic metres, down by about 19 euros against last July, when the price of 366.34 euros.
