Consolidation of Moldovan-Slovenian relations discussed in Ljubljana

Chisinau, 3 September /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi today had a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Affairs Minister of Slovenia Tanja Fajon. The discussions were focused on the consolidation of the bilateral relations and the exploration of new opportunities of cooperation.
At the meeting, the officials tackled also projects from Moldova, which are to benefit from financing on behalf of Slovenia, as well as perspectives of deepening the cooperation in the European affairs sector through exchanges of good practices.
The Slovenian diplomacy head reconfirmed her country’s willingness to share the experience of Slovenia in the process of accession to the European Union. ‘’Slovenia is willing to support Moldova on its European integration path and to contribute to the development of a solid and fruitful relation between our countries.’’ the minister said.
Deputy PM Mihai Popsoi thanked his counterpart for the support provided by Slovenia to Moldova in the reform process. ‘’The contribution of Slovenia, through its expertise, will help us align with the European standards. Through close cooperation with such reliable partners as Slovenia, Moldova will be able to advance more quickly on the European way and this will bring real benefits to our citizens,’’ Deputy PM Mihai Popsoi added.
