Moldovan electoral body receives another application on registration as participant in referendum

Chisinau, 5 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today received an application on the registration as participant in the republican constitutional referendum due on 20 October 2024.

According to CEC, the application was submitted by the European Social Democratic Party (PSDE), which is set to promote the voting option ’’YES’’ at the referendum.

The political parties and electoral blocs can submit the application on registration as participant in the referendum till 20 September 2024.

The elections for the office of Moldova’s president will be held on 20 October 2024. The republican constitutional referendum will be organized on the same day. The citizens will have to answer the question: ‘’Do you support the amendment of the Constitution for Moldova’s accession to the European Union?’’
