Speaker at Crimea Platform Summit: I reiterate Moldova's commitment to restoring peace in Ukraine and Europe

Chisinau, Sep 12 /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu has reaffirmed Moldova's commitment to restoring peace in Ukraine and Europe. He made the statement at the 4th Crimea Platform Summit, held in Kyiv, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

"I reaffirm our support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as Moldova's commitment to restoring peace in Ukraine and Europe. Even if we have limited resources, we are doing our best to help in any way we can", he said.

The speaker also thanked Ukrainian soldiers for their sacrifice on the battlefield, their endurance and love of country. "If there is peace in Moldova today, it is only thanks to the heroism of the Ukrainian people, who are fighting for Europe and its values on the battlefield, and we Moldovans cannot disappoint. By our vote we will show we want to be part of a world of peace and freedom", Grosu said.

Crimea Platform Summit was hosted by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and brought together official delegations from several countries. The agenda of the event included four panel discussions on Crimea and Peace Formula, reintegration policy, Ukraine's successes at the Black Sea and the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the deportation of Crimean Tatars. On this occasion, a national memorial dedicated to the Stalinist genocide of Crimean Tatar people was inaugurated.
