Moldovan electoral body initiates procedure of validation of MP mandate

Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has taken note of the death of MP Iurie Pasat, elected on the lists of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) and initiated the procedure of validation of a mandate of lawmaker of Moldova’s parliament.    

Under the procedure, CEC will propose to the Constitutional Court to validate the mandate of MP of alternate candidate Oleg Botnaru on the list of PAS.  

Following the examination of the request received from CEC, the High Court will issue a ruling to this end.
