Chisinau, 17 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Residents of the villages of Tanătarii Noi (Căușeni district), Drepcăuți (Briceni district) and Izvoare (Floresti) will have easier access to medicines, after pharmacies were opened in their villages. These are part of the Pharmacy in your village project, initiated by the authorities.
According to the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency, the project has brought important benefits to rural communities in the Republic of Moldova. Through this project, three other villages can now enjoy a pharmacy in the locality, reducing the need to travel to district centers to procure medicines.
"In some villages there was never a pharmacy, and in others they were closed for decades. Residents are grateful for this essential change. New openings will take place next week, three pharmacies from different districts have already obtained their pharmaceutical activity license", says the press release issued by the institution.
About 100 new pharmacies will be opened by the end of the year.
