Customs Service collected over 765 million lei to budget last week

Chisinau, Sep 23 /MOLDPRES/- Customs Service last week collected more than 765.1 million lei to the state budget, which is 101.4% of the control figure for the reference period.

At the same time, on September 16 - 22, this year, private people introduced goods whose customs value exceeds the non-taxable limit, and collected payments worth about 26.6 million lei, which represents 3.5% of the total amount collected for the period.

The money collected from taxpayers is paid directly into the state budget and redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects, etc.

Also, during the past week, 12,156 customs declarations were processed and the flow of means of transportation amounted to 77,634 crossings. Leuseni and Sculeni remain the busiest customs posts with 18,352 and 15,366 crossings respectively.

Since the beginning of this year, the Customs Service has collected about 26.9 billion lei to the state budget, which represents a 108.0% fulfillment of the control figure.
