Moldova, South Korea to organize inter-ministerial political consultations

Chisinau, Sep 27 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan Deputy Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi and South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul have agreed to organize inter-ministerial political consultations. These should take place before the end of this year. The two officials discussed the issue at a meeting in New York.
They "reaffirmed their openness to cooperate both bilaterally and multilaterally, which will bring mutual benefits and strengthen relations between the two countries in multiple areas," the Foreign Ministry announced in a press release.
Popșoi thanked Cho Tae-yul for the contribution and financial assistance of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to our country for the management of the refugee crisis, as well as for the many projects in the medical, educational and communications fields.
The two officials also approached "the security situation in the region, the war caused by Russia's brutal aggression in Ukraine and the challenges facing our country," the MAE said.
He thanked his counterpart Cho Tae-yul for the invitation to visit South Korea.
Popșoi is attending the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on September 23-27.
