EUROPEAN VILLAGE // Kindergarten from central Moldova settlement capitally rehabilitated

Chisinau, 27 September /MOLDPRES/ - The kindergarten from the Caracui village, central Hancesti district, has been capitally rehabilitated. The works were carried out within the European Village, edition I, National Programme, providing benefits to those about 70 children who attend the early education institution.    

The project included the full change of the roofs of the five blocks of the kindergarten, which were deteriorated and have not been capitally repaired since the institution’s foundation in 1980. It is about the nourishment unit, which includes the deposit of products and the washhouse, the block where there is the festivities hall, the centre for teaching methodology and the physician’s room, as well as the blocks meant for the groups of children. Also, the windows, doors were changed, the walls were thermally insulated and the base and the stone packing of the buildings were restored. At the same time, the stairs of access to the festivities hall were capitally repaired.       

At the same time, the Caracui village benefited also from another project needed for the settlement within the Express European Village Programme. A multifunctional sports field was constructed, endowed with all equipment necessary.

The Moldovan government allocated about 4.5 million lei for the two projects, through the National Fund for Regional and Local Development.  

According to the National Office of Regional and Local Development, 862 projects have been implemented out of those 896 local development initiatives included in the European Village, edition I, and Express European Village National Programmes. About 800,000 people from 612 settlements benefit from their services.
