Researchers of USMF "Nicolae Testemitanu" won 25 medals at "Excellent Idea-2024" exhibition

Chisinau, Sep 30 /MOLDPRES/- Researchers and inventors of Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy won 12 gold medals, nine silver medals and four bronze medals at the International Exhibition of Innovation and Technology Transfer "Excellent Idea-2024".

University rector Emil Ceban said at the opening of the event that in an ever-changing world, where technology evolves at a breathtaking speed, both remarkable achievements and the unlimited potential that innovation offers are appreciated.

"This exhibition is a meeting point for brilliant minds and bold visions, people dedicated to their profession, who through their creative work in universities, institutions and research centers, ensure cohesion between science and society, as well as informing the public about the importance of science. It is the place where innovative ideas become reality and where technological concepts are transformed into tangible solutions," the rector said.

He noted that the institution has been awarded a gold medal by "Titu Maiorescu" University of Bucharest, Romania for outstanding contribution to research and innovation.

USMF "Nicolae Testemitanu" participated in the exhibition with 24 intellectual property items (patents, copyrights, innovations and a monograph), obtained in 2024. Also, 10 other gold medals and the Special Prize from "Titu Maiorescu" University of Bucharest were awarded for the works of the team of inventors from the Institute of Emergency Medicine in collaboration with researchers from the USMF "Nicolae Testemițanu".

Over 170 inventions, innovations, research projects and ISI publications of intellectual property owners from Romania, Ukraine, Poland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Turkey and the Republic of Moldova were presented at this year's edition.

The exhibition "Excellent Idea" is at its third edition, organized on 20-22 September by the Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova in partnership with USMF "Nicolae Testemitanu" and the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.
