Moldovan electoral body announces first preliminary results of presidential elections. Maia Sandu gets most votes

Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has processed the first 400 official reports at the presidential elections. About 33.7 per cent of the electors voted for Maia Sandu and another 30.6 per cent - for the candidate of the Party of Socialists – Alexandr Stoianoglo. About 15 per cent opted for the candidate of the Our Party, Renato Usatii.
According to CEC’s data, 1,546,757 electors voted till 21:00, which accounts for 51.4 of the voters registered in the electoral lists.
Eleven candidates registered for the race for the Moldovan president’s office.
