Chisinau, Nov. 28 /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu congratulated Romanians from all over the world on Romania's National Day, marked on December 1. He also urged Moldovans with Romanian citizenship to participate in the parliamentary elections on December 1.
The message was delivered today at the start of the legislative session. "On December 1, Romanians abroad and friends of this country celebrate Romania's National Day," Grosu said.
The official emphasized that this year, December 1 has a special role, as parliamentary elections will be held in the neighboring country.
"Romanians will elect their parliamentarians who will take the country forward. It is an important exercise, that's why I come with a repeated appeal to all Moldovans with Romanian citizenship to go out to vote in the largest possible number to defend Romania's future. Let us demonstrate this time again, and on December 8, in the presidential elections, that the Romanian passport is not only a benefit, but also a responsibility. Moldova's future also depends on the path Romania chooses, and today more than ever we need a strong Romania", said Grosu.
