Moldovan electoral body unveils preliminary results of runoff election

Chisinau, Dec. 2 /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission /CEC/ has presented preliminary results in the two localities in the country, where the runoff election for mayor was held on Sunday.
Thus, in Boscana village, Criuleni district, the candidate of the Action and Solidarity Party won with 50.9%, while in Iliciovca village, Florești district, the victory was won by the representative of the Renaissance Party with 58%.
According to the Electoral Code, the candidate who picked up the highest number of votes is considered elected in the runoff.
