Runoff in Romania's presidential elections

Chisinau, Dec. 6 /MOLDPRES/- Police officers will ensure public order at polling stations in Moldova open for the runoff election of Romania. The elections will be held on December 6, 7 and 8.

Oxana Toderiță, press officer of the General Inspectorate of Police, told the agency that the law enforcement officers will be on duty to provide support in ensuring public order and guarding polling stations.

Romanian citizens of the Republic of Moldova are expected to vote at 59 polling stations. In the northern region of the country, 17 polling stations have been opened, in the central region - 34 polling stations, of which 16 in Chisinau, and in the southern region - 8 polling stations.

They are expected to vote for the election of the President of Romania on December 6 (12:00-21:00), December 7 and December 8 (07:00-21:00).

In the first round of the presidential elections in Romania, about 81 thousand Romanian citizens voted in the Republic of Moldova.
