Chisinau, 11 December /MOLDPRES/ - The process of learning for the students of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the Moldovan State University (USM) becomes more interactive due to the endowment of the Laboratory of Financial Mathematics with modern IT equipment, donated by the Department for Relation with Moldova (DRRM) of the Romanian government.

The act on donation today was signed by USM Rector Igor Sarov and the DRRM state secretary, Adrian Dupu, in the presence of the dean of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Maria Hamuraru, professors and students of the faculty. Attending the event was also Rector of the Alecu Russo State University of Balti, Natalia Gasitoi, - an institution which benefited from the same donation on behalf of DRRM.

The Laboratory of Financial Mathematics ensures the teaching of the fundamental discipline for all specialties of the Economic Sciences and the donation – last generation interactive tables, laptops and printers – will contribute to the improvement of the quality of teaching.

USM Rector Igor Sarov thanked the Department and personally the state secretary, Adrian Dupu, for the substantial contribution to the development of the projects on USM’s development and for having positioned the University among the priorities of the projects implemented with the support of Romania’s government. ‘’These actions confirm the fact that the State University of Moldova fits the Romanian educational landscape,’’ the USM rector stressed.

Adrian Dupu said that this equipment would modernize the process of teaching and voiced hope that such projects would continue being backed by DRRM.
