Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/ - Save Energy – Pay Less is the title of a campaign launched by Moldova’s government today.
„We will overcome this winter successfully, as the government will continue helping the vulnerable people, as well as because our society is responsible. Each of us wants to spend as little as possible for invoices. And we can do this through small changes in our homes,’’ the spokesman for the government, Daniel Voda, said.
According to Voda, a string of small actions, but with high impact, can help us save both energy and money.
„Turn off the light in the rooms where there is nobody. Easy. Set LED lamps – they have a longer life and consumer by 75 per cent less energy. Use a thermostat, if possible, and set it between +18 and +20 degrees – you can cut the invoice by 30 per cent. Fully load the washing machine or dish washing machine, reducing the number of cycles needed. Use saving programmes of washing and schedule them at night, when the demand is lower and the import of energy is cheaper. Turn off devices when you no longer use them. They consume energy even in standby regime. Useful information from the National Centre for Sustainable Energy: guides, booklets, pieces of advice. Let us all of us participate in this national effort – we save energy and pay less!’’ Daniel Voda also said.
