PHOTO 44 international graduates take solemn oath of physician in Moldova

Chisinau, 17 December /MOLDPRES/ - Forty four international students have taken the solemn oath of physician. The young people were admitted to the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) in the spring of the 2019 year at the Medicine syllabus.  

The ceremony of taking the oath took place in the Senate Hall’s, in the presence of representatives of the administrative team of the University, deans, teachers, students, parents and friends.   

The solemn event was inaugurated by Rector Emil Ceban, who congratulated the young graduates and thanked them for having chosen to study in Moldova at the Nicolae Testemitanu USMF.  

„We are sure that you will profess with dignity, honesty, empathy and responsibility and will be the best ambassadors of the University in the world,’’ the rector stressed.  

The dean of the Medicine Faculty No 2, Mircea Betiu, urged the graduates to be open to innovation and progress, to keep nice memories about the teachers and the students’ life, to keep Alma Mater and Moldova in their hearts.    

The ceremony culminated with the taking of the Oath of Physician in the English language.   

Those 44 graduates born in India, Israel and Ukraine studied in the English language.   

Starting from 2018, the admission of foreign students to USMF has been organized biannually: in spring and autumn. Respectively, the young people admitted to the University in spring finish their education later.
