National Police Day marked in Moldova today

Chisinau, Dec. 18 /MOLDPRES/- Today is National Police Day in Moldova. On this occasion, the leadership of the Interior Ministry (MAI) and the General Inspectorate of Police (IGP) addressed congratulatory messages to all MAI employees and appreciated their contribution to a safer country.

This morning, the officials laid flowers at the monument of fallen employees in front of the MAI headquarters.

On this occasion, Interior Minister Daniella Misail-Nichitin sent a congratulatory message to all police officers.

IGP head Viorel Cernăuțeanu noted that the police profession is not an easy one, as it requires perseverance, self-dedication, courage and sacrifice.

He emphasized that together with his subordinates, many challenges have been overcome, and every step forward is a step towards a reliable police.

On the National Police Day, a festive event will be organized, during which the achievements of the employees of the MIA will be appreciated.
