Civil Aviation Authority reacted to cancellation of several flights by Air Moldova

Chisinau, April 13 /MOLDPRES/- The Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) informs it is monitoring the current situation of Air Moldova after the air operator canceled several flights.

According to AAC, "the reason for the cancellation of the flights is the precarious financial situation of the air operator and the impossibility of paying for the services provided by third parties.

"If the financial situation is not rectified in the near future and the aircraft fleet is replenished with sufficient aircraft to provide the services they have engaged in, the airline risks having its Air Operator Certificate suspended," a press release of ACC reads.

At the same time, the institution encouraged passengers who are stuck in airports to request assistance from the air operator "who has the obligation to provide accommodation and food to passengers until rerouting options to their final destination are identified."

Passengers whose flights have been cancelled, can call the consumer phone - (022) 823583 or claim their rights by accessing AAC website.

Air Moldova has not yet come up with a reaction in this case.
