Moldovan PM says Codreanca dance club visiting card of Moldova abroad

Chisinau, 15 April /MOLDPRES/ - The biggest sports dance club from Moldova, Codreanca, has marked the 50th anniversary of its foundation. Starting from 1973, the dancers of the club have become world and European champions and today the club has 43 golden medals, 33 silver ones and 26 bronze medals, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Attending the anniversary event, held at the Palace of the Republic, Prime Minister Dorin Recean appreciated the contribution of the sports club, founded by the Gozun family, to Moldova’s promotion on the international stage.

„Codreanca is presently not only a well-known name all over the country, but also a visiting card of Moldova abroad. We thank you for work, diligence and discipline you prove and for the fact that, during 50 years, you have trained over tens of thousands of disciples and trainers,’’ PM Dorin Recean said.

During its activity, the Codreanca sports dance has got the titles, Merited Artistic Collective of Moldova and People’s Collective. The club also was awarded more distinctions, among which the Order of the Republic, Order-Badge Stephen the Great and Holy and the Golden Medal for Creativity of the World Intellectual Property Organization.
