Holy Fire brought to Moldova

Chisinau, 16 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Holy Fire, lighted in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher on 15 April afternoon, was brought to Moldova. The Holy Fire was brought by two delegations: the one of the Metropolitan See of Moldova and another one of the Metropolitan See of Bessarabia.
The Holy Fire was distributed in the centre of the Moldovan capital both to priests, which carried it to churches and all believers.
Bishop of Soroca, Substitute of the Metropolitan Ioan took the Holy Fire on behalf of the Metropolitan See of Moldova and the delegation of the Metropolitan See of Bessarabia was led by Father Veniamin.
The representatives of the Metropolitan See of Moldova were in Israel during four days.
The Holy Fire was lighted in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher on 15 April at 14:30. The Jerusalem Holy Fire is regarded as the clearest proof of the right faith, the most obvious of the Christian miracles which occur in the Orthodox Church.
This year, the Holy Fire was brought to Moldova for the 21st time.
